Are you proud of your marketing year? Did you shift into 2nd gear ? Did you finally get your CRM implementation done? Improved your SEO? Developed new partnerships?
For my part, in retrospect, I am infinitely relieved to have completed my web redesign project Email Marketing Tops My 2016 Resolution List a project of an imposing scale (those who have been there will understand me). It was THE project of the year!
I say this because the first week of January is always the most appropriate time to discuss annual resolutions, and I firmly believe that focusing on one big goal each year allows SMEs to achieve great things. When resources are limited, scattering is our worst enemy.
To learn more about the importance of sticking to just one annual resolution, read my weekly newsletter .
To inspire you, if your resolution is still not made, I will share mine with you. Who knows, maybe it will save you a whole day of thinking!
Optimizing my newsletter strategy: the goal of the year!
Email marketing remains an extremely effective strategy despite what is said about it. In B2B, it is THE strategy that brings the highest ROI. I have been publishing a weekly newsletter for over 7 years and my experience confirms this statement. When you offer quality content on a regular basis to a targeted clientele, you achieve a triple objective:
- Staying in the minds of our network.
- Establish our credibility and expertise.
- Activate prospects, therefore stimulate sales.
If, like me, you publish a newsletter, you might be able to take inspiration from my 2016 game plan. Here are the main points:
-
Increase the size of my mailing list
- offer to resubscribe my old subscribers (inactive addresses)
- use my current readers as ambassadors
- launch an advertising and ticket campaign on Facebook and Linkedin
- solicit my admirers (on social media)
- Optimize the link between my CRM and my email marketing software
-
Improve the relevance of my list
- clean up my list to eliminate non-reading subscribers to improve my performance indicators
- segment my india email list , ideally by interests
-
Reduce my list attrition rate
- develop a responsive template for easier reading on mobiles
- Optimize my unsubscribe page by offering alternatives to it
-
Increase the quality of my product
- improve the punch and length of my objects
- add visual content
- plan content in advance (ideally 4 times a year) based on my what you need to know about node and its developers readers’ topics of interest, following a survey
-
Improve the distribution of my newsletter on social media
- analyze my distribution strategy and increase cz leads interaction on the most profitable channels
- increase the number of distribution channels
This list is obviously not applicable to each of you, since we do not all have the same challenges or the same experience. However, it gives you an excellent example of a marketing resolution focused on a single objective! It is up to you to draw up your own list based on your internal marketing reality.
Looking forward to spending another wonderful year with you!
